Subtitle languages

You can translate subtitles into every language marked Supported or Beta in the table’s Translations column, from a source in any language: text subtitles, audio or graphical subtitles. A language with no official translation support cannot be chosen as a target.

Supported languages were released after evaluation from English and German sources. Beta languages were released on automatic quality checks without a native review. Expect more mistakes and review the subtitles before export. These targets are marked “Beta” in the language picker.

Transcription from audio

The audio column shows supported and Beta transcription. Every other spoken language is still accepted with a “not officially supported” warning. Recognition then detects the closest language it knows, and the result may be poor. Text recognition (OCR) is separate from this table.

Changes in availability

A language that fails later checks can be withdrawn for new work. Already started operations finish, and existing subtitles stay editable and exportable. A saved default keeps showing the language as unavailable until you choose another.
