Translate existing subtitles

Choose a subtitle source and target language, check the paid plan, and review the saved translation before export.

Paid AIUses credits

Before you start

Sign in and buy enough credits for the displayed estimate. You start paid work only when you confirm the plan. Audio and graphical sources need their original files during preparation. Translation of stored subtitle text does not need the original media.

Translate the subtitle text

  1. Open the subtitle source

Find the text asset on the media page. For text that has not been stored, open or import it first. Choose its Translate action: only its classification is enabled, with that source.

  2. Select text and a different language

Set a different target language. In each enabled classification row, choose the intended saved text source rather than audio or graphical images. Enable other classifications only when you want their results too; each picker stays within its classification. Text translation must show translation only. An existing document in the target language is shown as available and should be opened instead of regenerated.

An incorrect or unknown source label can alter the stage plan. Inspect language metadata and review the new estimate after correcting it.

  3. Review the estimate and launch

Read Your operation and check the outputs, stages, required credits and available balance. Then select Start generation. Keep the tab open while the operation needs this browser to prepare or upload its source.

If no estimate appears or your balance is too low, resolve that problem first. A disabled Start button means no operation has been launched.

  4. Result

The finished operation saves one translated AI asset per enabled classification. The source text and any editable source remain separate.

Check the result

Open the successful translation result in the editor. Compare several cues with the source, check names and timing, and correct mistakes before exporting. The generated text is stored in the project; exporting is a separate step that creates the file you can use elsewhere.

If something goes wrong

If the original source is unavailable, reconnect it. An ongoing operation may then offer Retry source. If the operation has finished, keep its successful results and plan new work for what is still needed. If live updates stop, reopen the existing operation before starting another.
